After Altair leaps off a building, presumably into a haystack, the trailer moves on to Assassin’s Creed’s most recent setting, giving fans a look at the female Eivor from Assassin’s Creed Valhalla. There then appears to be a focus on the more recent games, as the following clips give viewers a look at some combat inspired by both Assassin’s Creed Odyssey and Origins. There doesn’t seem to be a chronological order to how the games appear in the new trailer, with it then shifting to the perspective of a live-action Edward Kenway from Assassin’s Creed 4: Black Flag....

According to Ubisoft itself, one of the most demanded settings is Japan, with fans seemingly drawn either to the Feudal Era or the Satsuma Rebellion (which also ended the Samurai class). It would also be once thing if this was just fan demand, but Ubisoft has also fed the sharks by teasing a Japanese Assassin’s Creed setting several times now (if years ago). Some thoughts for the weekend… I’ll say upfront that I’m not a huge fan of Forbes, particularly when it comes to their sports coverage, but their annual list of the world’s highest-paid athletes makes for interesting reading. Two things are clear: the money is still in the US - 63 of the athletes are American; 73 are US-based – but the sponsorship business is a global one.
