Now, YouTuber SPGamer has found a hidden puzzle that could connect the two games. In Assassin’s Creed: Origins, there is a hieroglyph that contains an image resembling Noctis, but SPGamer discovered something more substantial: a large sundial puzzle that leads to a hidden temple.
This temple is currently inaccessible but potentially contains some Final Fantasy 15 related item. SPGamer suggests that it could be Noctis’s Engine Blade, but it could also be Noctis’s clothing or something else entirely.
This reveal may do much or little to quieten the gamers upset by the price of Assassin’s Creed: Origins latest DLC pack; however, it seems unlikely that this Final Fantasy 15 Easter egg will go the same route. Assassin’s Creed: Origins DLC for Final Fantasy 15 was free, so it stands to reason that the reverse will also be true. Either way, SPGamer’s discovery unites the two games in a way that may make many fans very happy.
AC: Origins also contains an Easter egg for another Ubisoft title. In the game’s modern setting, it is possible to find a video of Watch Dogs protagonist Aiden Pearce standing over the Assassin’s Creed character Olivier Garneau. (Garneau was also a target of Pearce’s in a side mission for Watch Dogs.) Whether or not this showcases an interconnected series remains to be certain, but it does provide fans of the popular Watch Dogs/ Assassin’s Creed theory some new evidence.
Easter eggs are often a major point of interest for many gamers. Assassin’s Creed: Origins delivers on this aspect in its connection to other Ubisoft titles, but SPGamer’s discovery may leave gamers with anticipation or anxiety. While most may be excited about this temple and potential content, some may be reluctant to the fact it is inaccessible. Only time will tell.
