One of the more important resources that players need to gather is wood (known as Cedarwood in the game), as it plays a role in reinforcing equipment. Unfortunately, Assassin’s Creed Origins is accurate to actual history, and finding this resource around Egypt may be a bit of a challenge. For those players looking to gather wood in Assassin’s Creed Origins, this guide is here to help.

Where to Find Wood in Assassin’s Creed Origins
In the game, players can get wood in a few different ways. The fastest way to gain the largest amount of wood is to locate shipments of the material in the world of Assassin’s Creed Origins.
Sending Senu up into the sky will bring up resource locations and points of interest. Wood is indicated by logs through this view, and players can use Senu to tag a nearby shipment and track it down. Players then must wrestle the materials away from the guard carrying them.
The other options for players looking to get themselves wood will get them less overall but don’t require a fight. The open world features plenty of blacksmiths, and players can purchase individual pieces of wood for gold at these locations.
Unfortunately, this can cost quite a bit of gold in Assassin’s Creed Origins if players are looking to invest in this method. Other than that, players can also deconstruct the bows they are not using to earn themselves some wood.
What to Use Wood for in Assassin’s Creed Origins
Wood comes into play when players are crafting upgrades for their equipment. Two pieces of equipment require significant amounts of the game’s version of wood: the Quiver and the Bracer.
These items require greater and greater amounts of this resource as players purchase further upgrades.
The amount of times a player can upgrade the Quiver and Bracer depends on if they only own the base game or have installed the two DLCs to Assassin’s Creed Origins.
The base form of the game requires wood for the first three upgrades to the Quiver but the DLC adds two further levels that each require wood. For the Bracer, players need to gather wood for every upgrade, even for the DLC-added levels.
Assassin’s Creed Origins is available now for PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
