At the Ubisoft Forward that took place on September 10, it was revealed that Asassin’s Creed Mirage would be marking a return to the series’ roots. Stealth and action would be given a heavier focus, and while this excited some fans, others were worried they would lose the large scale they’ve seen in titles like Assassin’s Creed Valhalla and Odyssey. Apart from the return to a stealthier experience, plenty of other details were confirmed about Assassin’s Creed Mirage, including a closer look at the game’s logo and some other official images.

However, one fan known as deezel86 decided that the logo could use some changing. Currently, the Assassin’s Creed Mirage logo reads as “hidden one” when translated to Arabic. Keeping the traditional style of Assassin’s Creed logos, deezel86 altered the Mirage image so that when it translated from Arabic it reads “mirage.” The redesign also reflects Assassin’s Creed Mirage in more than just making the logo now read as the title of the game. Some added effects have given deezel86’s logo an aesthetic that better fits the setting of Assassin’s Creed Mirage.

Assassin’s Creed fans in the comments of deezel86’s post praised the new logo design as well as the new meaning of it. There were plenty of fans who also admitted that they didn’t know that the Assassin’s Creed logo actually meant “hidden one” before now, a fact that shows how many Easter eggs Ubisoft has planted in the franchise over the years.

Alongside the new logo for Assassin’s Creed Mirage, a few new games in the series were given new promotional images at the recent Ubisoft Forward. Three new Assassin’s Creed games were confirmed in Codename Red, Codename Jade, and Codename Hexe. Each of these new Assassin’s Creed games will have settings unique to the franchise, with Codename Red finally taking the series to Feudal Japan, and Codename Hexe offering a unique look at the European Witch Trials.

Assassin’s Creed Mirage releases in 2023 for Luna, PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
