According to the press release from Ubisoft, sent out today, the game focuses on Ezio’s, “journey to Rome, center of power, greed and corruption to strike at the heart of the enemy. Defeating the corrupt tyrants entrenched there will require not only strength, but leadership, as Ezio commands an entire Brotherhood that will rally to his side.”
If you, like me, got all excited by the bell-tower meeting in Assassin’s Creed where Ezio had his nice meet’n’greet with the other Assassins, then the idea of a mini army is probably very appealing. Additionally, Brotherhood will introduce the first ever multiplayer gameplay to the franchise, giving players the option to side with the Templars. Letting the gamer take on the role of the antagonist seems to be a fun new trend. According to both the press release and the teaser website, Templars can use Abstergo to learn the skill sets that the Assassins themselves are trained in. There will be a variety of character classes, and unique weapons and combat styles.
LOOK A GIRL CHARACTER SHE MIGHT BE A HOOKER BUT I’M STILL EXCITED GIRL CHARACTER WOO.
Yes, it’s important to me. It’s been important to me since I was 7 and relegated to playing April O’Neil with my neighborhood friends because I was the girl. I hate canary yellow.
But I digress.
The game is available for pre-order, and if you do so through GameStop, you get a special character for the multiplayer! That’s right:
A killer clown. So what’s the verdict: Are you excited for the continued adventures of Ezio Auditore de Firenze and the chance to get your Templar on? What do you want from Assassin’s Creed Brotherhood?
Assassin’s Creed Brotherhood is set to ship Holiday 2010 for Xbox 360, PS3, and PC.
