Assam skipper Abu Nechim Ahmed won the toss and elected to bowl first at Agartala. Assam pace attacks bundled out Tripura in a paltry total of 136 run in the first innings. Arup Das accounted 4 wickets costing 34 run in his 16 overs. Skipper Abu Nechim finished with a figure of 3 for 37 run in his 18 overs. Pritam Das scalps other 3 wickets of the Tripura innings.

In reply, Assam batsman piled up a mammoth total of 525 losing 5 wickets. Prolific run getter of domestic season Dheeraj Jadhav missed his double ton by a whisker. He scored 194 run before edging a out swinger of Murasingh to keeper Yogesh Takawale. Dheeraj hit 28 fours and 1 six in his 301 ball long marathon innings. Middle order batsman Tarjinder Singh missed a well deserved century by a single run. He scored 99 run. He scored 10 fours and 3 huge over boundary in his innings. Neeraj Patel and Gokul Sarmah also scored a half century each. Patel scored 66 run before losing his stumps in the bowling of Timir Chandra. Gokul Sarmah scored a unbeaten 70 run and sailed Assam to 525 run and took a huge lead of 389 run.

In the second innings Tripura batsman showed some class but that not enough to avoid a innings defeat. Tripura batsman formed some good partnership but falls of wicket at regular interval bound them to only 334 run. S Singha and K Pawan formed a cetury run partnership at the top and both scored a half century each. S Singha top scored for Tripura with 79 run. K Pawan scored 51 run. Other notable scorer for Tripura was YK Takawale. He scored a patience knock of 68 run. For Asaam skipper Abu Nechim Ahmed took 4 wickets and he finished a haul of 7 wickets in the match. Arup Das, Pritam Das, JL Syed Mohhamad took 2 wickets each.

By this win Assam moves 2nd place of the point table of Group C. Now Assam will face Himachal Pradesh in 5th round of the match.
