Chana, who had won silver in the Commonwealth Games, was awarded two shido points (penalties) during the two minutes 26 seconds encounter, but Ganbat was just too good and scored a win after throwing the Indian emphatically to the ground.
Earlier, Chana defeated Kuwait’s Abdalla Almaraghy in the round of 32 to seal his passage through to the pre-quarters.
